What can you say? The man currently cycling in front of the van is putting everything he has into this ride. Its been a tough stint from Inverness, rainy overcast weather, a strong headwind, hard enough on its own, but on the back of 700 miles just mind blowing. Will was out with Ben this afternoon, keeping him going through the afternoon, until Wick where Russ Coles joined him for the push up to John O’Groats.
We arrived at John O’Groats at 11pm, 4 hours ahead of schedule, and still a massive 24 hours ahead of the record. He was understandably tired, but smiling whilst recieving a rumdown from the team and listening to everyones messages! Keep them coming!
When Ben first mentioned this record to me, It sounded pretty tough. But as a non-cyclist I hadn’t appreciated the speed at which he is travelling. He is keeping an average of around 15mph, inclusive of stops! On the bike, he’s up constantly holding around 20mph. Its astounding.
Keep the support coming, and don’t forget the justgiving link.
Great work fella, so impressive. Will be even more geared up to punch a hole for you when you get back to Hereford – I just want to be able to help you for long enough!! Doing an amazing effort, keep it up.
Fantasmagorical and astounding!
Outstanding effort, from all of you. Looking forward to catching you on the rebound!
